Week of December 12

Hey there friend,

December invites us to celebrate, simplify, and keep perspective. You don’t have to do everything to do the right things. Give yourself permission to choose people over pressure, presence over perfection, and momentum over maxing out.

  • Put people first: schedule family time before tasks.

  • Relax the calendar: keep two open nights per week.

  • Choose one tradition to keep, one to skip, one to simplify.

  • Protect a daily 10–15 minute “quiet pocket” for light writing or reflection.

  • Say no kindly: “Not this year, but thank you for thinking of me.”

  • Plan buffer days after big gatherings to rest and reset.

  • Do a tiny year-in-review: three wins, three lessons, one next step.

  • Schedule a true Sabbath day—rest is part of the work.

Let’s have AI help us create goals for 2026.

  • Create: What will you complete by December 31, 2026? Name it.

  • Serve: What consistent touchpoints grow your readers (posts, emails, talks)?

  • Build: What infrastructure funds or streamlines the work (platforms, partners, products, funding targets)?

But let’s be real with plans and life. What is in your life besides writing? Don’t forget to let AI know about this: health, caretaking, travel, grief days, kids, and the holidays. You’re not a robot. Build in rest and pace yourself.

Have AI help you with your goals AND:

  • Ask, “Make me a plan” and also, “Why is this the wrong plan for me?”

  • Put your CBS goals where you’ll see them—sticky note on your monitor, a printed weekly sheet, or a wall strip in your hallway.

  • Use your calendar as a content vault: drop future “hooks” on relevant dates (book topics, national days, launches), then set a reminder two weeks ahead to prep assets.

  • “Store up” ideas in a running doc or spreadsheet you can later upload or batch into your scheduler.

Watch our teaching and start setting next year in motion so that next year at this time you meet goals and move forward with momentum.—Kathi 💛
